The beauty industry has been very creative on how to keep make-up lasting on the face all day. But Korea’s recent technique is a little out of the ordinary. Jamsu is turning out to be the latest love of the Korean beauty industry. In order to set powder on the face, keep it matte and have it stay put for an entire day, the technique requires “submerging” the face in a bowl of cold water.
But before the slippery process, one has to apply foundation, concealer and bake with loose powder or baby powder first. When done, one must submerge their face in cold water for at least 30 seconds. This helps shut pores tight and once patted dry, the entire face looks seamless and flawless. If your skin-type is more on the dry side, it’s best not to dunk your face in water for too long.
